ABOUT THE COUPLE
Watching David adoringly roll his eyes (but not really, but really) as Serena takes arial shots of her food, or gushes about their painfully cute french bully, Mr. Mustard, had us immediately in love with this well matched couple. David and Serena have this way to make you feel important, interesting and like you’ve known each other forever. Both Seattle foodie explorers (Sheena implores them to start a blog!) who are busy professionals that appreciate “doing it for the ‘gram,” we knew designing this wedding was going to be a fun journey.
A CHALLENGE WE FACED
It was self-inflicted. We had this idea for the escort wall to also be the photo booth backdrop. Sheena hired someone to create the wall pieces who wasn’t experienced in set design, which should have been a prerequisite. The wall was heavy, hard to move and really laborious. Come to find out we could have rented one that was made for such a function and been way better off.
OUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT THE WEDDING
So many parts, it’s hard to choose! We were over the moon with how the Mr. Mustard lapel pins turned out. The seating chart wall was such a showstopper guests were taking pictures in front of it. The bride cried when she saw the room (the best!). The confetti canon surprise on the dance floor. The jaw dropping ballroom. All of it. We loved all of it.
